Yamaha BB-G5A
Yamaha are well known for engineering excellence and when we received this bass guitar from a customer we could quickly identify the quality manufacture of this instrument.
This 5 string bass and its adorning gold hardware were in good condition for a 5-year-old guitar. However the hardware did have some areas where the gold had rubbed off and areas of the underlying nickel were apparent.
The areas that required attention were the four volume and control knurled knobs, parts of the bridge and all five tuners.
The gold plating was undertaken whilst all the gold parts were still fitted to the guitar with the exception of the volume and control knobs.
The results were outstanding and it is rewarding to be responsible to breath new life into these instruments.
The customer, well what could I say about him, he was the most demanding of any customer I have ever come across requiring excellence beyond the normal call of duty; after all he was my son! Rock on George, bass player extraordinaire!
